While observing nature, I can conclude that the straight line is not the shortest route between two points. This amalgam of the inert and living seems random but is utterly well-balanced. An emotion created by a landscape or an object has a mystic feeling. I am overwhelmed and humbled.

I love the idea of shaping rough and hard matter and think of ways of bending, contorting and lightening it, breaking the piece down to its simplest form. In a non-figurative style that I would qualify as contemporary, abstract, zen, I use both direct and planned stone sculpting approaches on all types of stone, also using recycled materials, mainly steel.
